SWTOR Classes: The Galactic Republic

In the SWTOR Classes you will find a nice variety of classes to choose from, now days you will see games releasing with a very small selection of 3 or 4 classes to choose from. In SWTOR, you’re given 8 classes to choose from, however, there are 4 different classes for each faction, unlike other games where each faction has the same classes.

This puts a very unique twist to your character creation as well as later in the game with PvP and other things. Both of the factions to offer some awesome SWTOR Classes to choose from, and I’ll get to that next.

SWTOR Classes: The Galactic Republic Faction

SWTOR Jedi Knight – Very awesome class in SWTOR, the Jedi Knight is very similar to a warrior class, they focus mainly on melee lightsaber damage and using heavy armor. Great tanks and DPS.

SWTOR Jedi Counselor – The Jedi Consular class is a great healer, however, they do some nice damage as well.

SWTOR Trooper – The Trooper class in SWTOR is really fun, this class focuses a lot on heavy ranged damage with their blaster and can pump out some massive DPS.

SWTOR Smuggler – If you’ve ever played a rogue you’ll be familiar with the Smuggler class, focuses a ton of being stealth and quick to get things done. You can run around with dual blasters and nuke unsuspecting victims with ease.

That will give you a pretty good general idea of the SWTOR Classes for the Galactic Republic, but you will want to check out our more in-depth guides for each class individually to see what abilities and roles they will play.
