The controls for SWTOR are pretty standard, you will be using WASD to move your character around as well as your mouse. However, you should keep in mind that you are able to switch your key bindings around and I highly encourage players to find a comfortable way to move around.
Tip: I always make my A and D keys strafe left and right, this allows me to hold right click with the mouse and strafe easier and quickly turn 180 degrees in no time.
0-= are your default action bar keys, i recommend only using 1-5 and adding other keybinds for your abilities such as Shift + 1 or Z or X or Shift + Z or Alt + X, this makes it very easy to use all of your abilites while keeping just one hand at one spot of the keyboard and the other on your mouse.

M – Map
L – Quest Journal
X – Crouch
C – Character Screen
B – Inventory
To open up the chat box to begin talking and communication you can press Enter, and to jump press Spacebar.
